Manufacturing in Guelph is sustainable for many reason. One of the main reasons is because the City has a lot of land for new buildings. Another reason is that the population is growing to fill the job needs. The third reason is that the City has great transportation links, these include trains and highways. The last reason is that the City itself is centrally located in Canada, making it an easy access to transport manufactured goods.
To increase sustainability, the City of Guelph will need to increase the number of skilled trades people because they are lacking these trades people to fill in the positions. To increase skilled trade workers, the City will need to attract more skilled trade workers either from other Provinces or encourage students to study the trades.
